The Parish of Staunton sits above the River Wye on the north-west edge of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Its western edge forms the border with Wales whilst the English Parishes of Coleford, Newland, and English Bicknor form its other boundaries. It covers an area of approximately 620 hectares.
