25 March 2022 – VOLUNTEERS update

Our insurers have advised that they will NOT cover the Parish Council against Public Liability claims in respect of The Frogsmouth until safety measures (eg fencing and signage) are put in place.  Even when that is achieved they recommend that any work on The Frogsmouth will need to be undertaken by professionals.  In respect of all the other land which the Parish Council owns, again the Parish Council cannot authorise any work by volunteers until we have risk assessments for each and every task in place.  We will expedite this and issue further advice in due course. Anyone undertaking volunteer work on Parish Council land does so entirely at their own risk and the Parish Council accepts no liability whatsoever.
